Lunch Date @ Fig and Olive LA

The best part about running your own business is the freedom to do what you want when you want like enjoying a delicious lunch at Fig and Olive on Melrose Pl. I first fell in love with this restaurant a couple years back at the New York location in the meat picking district. My favorite part of the menu is the crostini selection. Crostini are simply bit size pieces of toast with different sweet or savory toppings, a dish typical of the Tuscany region in Italy which i fell in love with while studying abroad. Some of the classics like the goat cheese and caramelized onions or mushrooms and artichoke pâté OR a classic prosciutto, Fig and ricotta cheese. All so delicious 😋 I also had a plate of penne pasta with cremino mushrooms, truffle, parmigiano and olive oil. What can I say?....when in Rome. At least it was lunch time and I had the way of the afternoon to burn it off along with the ice cream, chocolate and iced coffee I had earlier🙈
