Secrets behind my Easter dinner frugal tablescape 🐰🥚🌸
In the Italian culture, the dinner table is where the heart is. Growing up, I remember arguing with my sister who was going to "set up" the table and who was going to "clean" the table. I some how managed to get stuck with both jobs but now I realize how important "setting up the table" really is. I think a well set table makes the food look and taste better, but that's just me. Anyway, this year we hosted Easter for the second year and I had so much fun setting up my table, on a frugal budget of course! This year we added a few more people which meant we needed another table and another table cloth. So I started at Marshalls to find 3 matching tablecloths that were spill proof, stain proof, colorful and inexpensive. I fell in love with this floral print from Cynthia Rowley and each tablecloth was under $15! I used a plain white dish and a gold charger to add decorative touch. I picked up a solid Pantone greenery colored napkin from World Market (6 for $9.99) to add a pop of color to the plate setting. I used a cute stiro foam egg on a stick I had picked up at Dollar Tree for a finishing touch.
What is Easter without egg dying?! This year I had my grandparents help me dye eggs which I used as place cards. I picked up 3 dozen for $3 at Dollar Tree and we went to work!
Lastly I used a beautiful shade of radiant orchid tulips inspired by the BeautyXBracelets color of the month as my center piece. I went with a low lying arrangement so that it wasn't blocking anyone's view of the other side of the table 👌🏻
I love this fun and cheery table scape which set the tone for a beautiful Easter dinner 🍴
